It is amazing how FAST time goes when you stay busy and let me tell you...I have been busy. Here is a quick low-down of what has been going on:
- Half-Marathon training!
My race is on June 11th. I run my last long run, 12 miles, on Friday before
I get ready for the big race
- Grad Classes
I am enrolled in six credits this summer. The funny thing is these classes
are completed in six weeks...I will look more closely next time at the class
timeline. So, I am in my 3rd of week.
- Wedding Planning
The major stuff is decided, our DJ will be happy to know we have chosen
a first dance song!
- Expansion Grant
ASPIRE received additional funding! Great but lots of fun hard work.
I apologize if I have neglected you in the chaos that is my life....I will emerge on July 4th with NOTHING to do and be looking for friends. Please don't give-up on me until then.

Balanced and Delicious
The past few weeks we have eaten dishes made from ingredients "laying around" the house. We made a turkey soup, an alternative style of Turkey Grass, and home-made pizza. This week, we have put together a legitimate menu that will please both of us and continue to develop my culinary skills
Monday
Rueben Style Meatloaf
Mashed Potatoes
Peas
Tuesday
Mostacioli
Garlic Bread
Side Salad
Wednesday
Chicken and Olives
Side Salad
Thursday
Venison Thai Curry on Rice
Friday
Meatloaf Sandwiches
Home-made Potato Chips
Shopping for this weeks groceries was enjoyable and right on budget. We even splurged and bought ingredients for chocolate chip & walnut cookies! Nothing smells better than freshly baked cookies and nothing tastes better than a warm cookie in cold milk. Here is to food that comforts the soul and nourishes the body...

Things are starting to get busy around here....
Yesterday, I realized that the wedding is exactly eight weeks away. How did this year go so quickly? From my experience, the more I am involved with the faster time flies. Here is a look at this summer (it will give you a feeling of how fast time will fly):
- Enrolled in six Masters credits
- Getting married
- Going on a Honeymoon
- Moving into a new home
- Settling into a new home
- And, this doesn't include work stuff (which has some REALLY cool stuff going on)
In terms of the wedding, I am not a procrastinator so I am confident with where I am at in planning, preparing, and assembling things. But, there is always a hint of doubt when planning an event this big. My tasks for this week are picking out songs for the: first dance, father/daughter dance, and the bouquet toss. PTL for Youtube!
