Let The Countdown Begin

In exactly six days I will be Mrs. Halley Paige Church Sarnowski. I picked-up our marriage license and I couldn't believe this is actually going to happen...I am getting married? How odd? I still feel sixteen how can I be getting married?

So, until that day, which is not to far off, I am going to run, work, and post for class. Nothing like reality to bring you back to earth.

2:40 - My Personal Best

Saturday marked the date of my first road race that was more than 3 miles. During high school I participated in cross country but I never enjoyed the time I spent running. I joined the team because I enjoyed the kids on the team and it got me out of class!

This time around, my goal was to running and incorporate exercise into my daily routine. And, I succeeded. I ran in the Lakestride Half-Marathon race and finished with a personal best of 2 hours and 40 minutes. I was able to keep a consistant 12 minute per mile pace and finish in one piece.

I am amazed at the ways that preparing for and running the race has been aplicable to other areas of my life. I now know I will make it the three weeks to my wedding while 4.0 my classes and continuing to contribute at work. Amazing what accomplishing big goals can do for a girls self-esteem!

* Twinkle-Toes*

This evening, my Dad and I had a new shared experience together...Dance Lessons! Roger Brauwer from Holland is helping us put together a nice dance for the wedding ceremony and it was a blast! We showed-up with a song chosen, and come to fine out the tempo is right in the middle of a two-step and a Rumba. Now, we both know how to Rumba so we tried to stay in that temp range but it was so slow!

We now have the task of finding a new song and hopefully meeting with Rog two more times before the big day. If you know of any Father/Daughter dance songs with a Rumba tempo, please let me know.
